Offerings

These types of offerings you will see every day in Bali. They commonly consist of a banana leaf or basket, flowers, foods, rice and incense. The women make these and distribute them early in the mornings in order to to appease and please the various gods and demons of Balinese Hinduism.

Art Book Project begins

We met briefly last week and selected books to begin preparing for our Art Book Project. This will serve as a repository for thoughts, drawings, ideas, lists, notes, maps, images, tracings, doodles, dreams, memories, hopes, sketches, bits of things found and made. . .
Now the task is to empty the book of its old purpose, and free it up.

First Meeting

Today is our first meeting of our Indonesia Study Abroad Program for Eastern Illinois University!
